1) Before You Start Read Section

1) Receive Your Laptop
When starting to work for Özyeğin University employees; It allocates computers equipped with current technologies to support education, training, research and administrative activities. your dedicated computer Student Center -3 You can pick it up from our IT User Support office on the 1st floor. You can forward the auxiliary accessories you will need along with your computer to the administrative assistants of your faculty.
2) Get a User Account
Your ÖzÜ user account is your personal account that will give you access to many ÖzÜ applications, services and resources. Your user account consists of your e-mail address and password. This account will be opened upon starting your university job, and your account information will be sent via text message to your designated email address and/or mobile phone. We strongly recommend that you change your password via MyOzU Mobile after receiving it.
Things to Consider When Setting a Password
You should not share your password with anyone, including university members.
3) Install a Multi-Factor Authentication App
OzU users are required to use Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), an additional layer of security, to verify their user accounts via their smartphones.
MFAYour ÖzÜ user account will be automatically activated when you create it. You can easily install the application by following the instructions you'll receive when you first access your ÖzÜ email address.
4) Set up your email
Once you've created your ÖzÜ user account, you can immediately start using your personalized email address. Your username and password are the same as the user account information sent to your personalized email address and/or via SMS.
You can log in to your ÖzÜ E-Mail account using your user account information through a browser or e-mail application.
ÖzÜ is part of the Google Workplace Education+ package offered free to its employees. Google Mail Recommends them to use the application.
5) Connect to Wireless Network (Eduroam)
Eduroam Wireless Network (Wi-Fi); It is a secure and user-controlled network that allows internet access 7/24. Wireless network access is available to all our users in indoor and outdoor areas on campus. You can log in to this network using your Essence user account information. You can connect to the Eduroam wireless network with 5 devices (computer, mobile phone, tablet, etc.) at the same time.
6) Install MyOzU Mobile App
MyOzU mobile application is the corporate notification and communication platform for all university members. It provides access to all the transactions and information you need regarding your campus life from a single channel.
ÜYou can access all instant notifications and announcements made by the university's academic and administrative units only through MyOzU. It is important that you regularly follow MyOzU, which is constantly being developed with new features.
You can download the mobile version of MyOzU from the Apple Store and Google Play mobile markets. It also serves as MyOzU Web Portal.
7) Examine Academic and Administrative Software
In cooperation with OzU and Microsoft Türkiye, Office365 platform applications are available to all our students free of charge. With Office365, you can benefit from all Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, OneDrive, Teams, etc.
To access, simply enter the portal address with your OzU user account and install the relevant Office application on your computer (Windows, MAC).
You can install Office 365 applications on up to 5 devices.
8) Configure Your Computer's Printer Settings
Our employees' computers are delivered pre-installed by IT with printing and copying configurations. With this setup, you can print and copy from all printers designated for use on academic building floors, in the library, in the 7/24 study area, and in the dormitories.
In addition, you can benefit from the Copy center, which provides document duplication, printing and binding services, for your bulk transactions.
You can access the printers with your assigned campus ID cards or by scanning the QR code using the MyOzU mobile app camera.
9) Protect your account, devices and data
We deliver computers to our employees with a number of security measures installed in the operating system.. However, we strongly recommend that our employees take precautions to protect their accounts, personal data and all other information assets with additional measures. When you detect an abnormal situation regarding your account, in case of unauthorized access, cyber attack, spam e-mail notification, disclosure of confidential information, personal data breach, and your questions, requests or suggestions regarding Information Security and KVKK, Solution Center via BT To the Information Security Office you can forward.
